About Imbolc

It is hard sometimes to think of Spring in what feels like the depths of Winter. But if we look at the ground we can see the first shoots of green beginning to reach towards the Sun. Imbolc can be celebrated on either the 1st or 2nd February, or more naturally when the Snowdrops cover the ground. (from the OBOD website)

Imbolc celebrates the first stirrings of spring and the beginning of new life. It is associated with the beginning of the lambing season and the goddess Brigid, and marks the halfway point between Alban Arthan, the Winter Solstice and Alban Eiler, the Spring Equinox.

Join us for our online ceremony to celebrate this festival! Bookings are now open on Eventbrite.

Due to current Government advice, this event will be held online and a Zoom link will be provided to all booked attendees. Please ensure you have downloaded the relevant app for your device and are able to use it prior to this event starting.

When you book, you will also receive a link to an online sign-up sheet with information about roles that are up for grabs for during the ritual itself, as well as any items that you may wish to prepare in your space so you can take part in proceedings. Both of these things are optional, but they are provided so people can take part as much or as little as they wish.

If you would like to take part in creating the ritual, please contact us via our contact form or by email at: cambridgedruidry@gmail.com.

Subscribe to our mailing list to keep up to date with this and future activities!

We look forward to seeing you for our Imbolc celebration,
